The day I first take a plane trip, not near but far to China, Shanghai.
Some ask why, why did I choose Shanghai as my destination
As the matter of fact, Shanghai was not my first choice for my first destination oversea, my intended route was to Taiwan.
After a rough calculating and some considerations, I decided not to go Taiwan but to Shanghai, staying at a friend’s house. Later on, a galfriend of mine join me on the trip and the rest is history.
Honestly, I am afraid of taking plane trips as I start to imagine lots of horrible events happen to airplanes. I feel like its a no turning back once I’m sitted in one.
Looking out from the plane window, it is a whole new experience, both terrifying and exciting, a major leap I made in my life. When I reach the airport of XiaoShan, Hangzhou, it is an incredible moment, I couldn’t believe myself that I manage to achieve my dream to go oversea that fast, at the age of 23.
However, throughout the flight to China, I couldn’t even close my eyes to rest let alone sleep. I clutch on the Rosary I borrowed from my dad like I clung on a life boay in the middle of the sea.
My flight trip back from China however was slightly better althought the 1st hour the flight was quite rocky due to bad weather. I felt like I was sailing on a boat. Anyways, the flight is smoothen after we fly pass Taiwan and slowly my eyes close as I doze off…ZZZ ZZZ…too tired to be afraid…
Touch down at M’sia at 4.30am 27th May 2009, I’m glad that I reach home safely, the trip is indeed an eye-opener for me.
The trip oversea may cause me to be poorer in the form of monatory but richer in knowledge.
Thank you Lord.
